Delegates cut the ribbons to launch new domestic air routes |
The Vietnam Airlines representative noted that the new routes are expected to boost the status of Vinh and Cat Bi airports, while also contributing to the overall economic and tourism development of both Nghe An province and Hai Phong city, in addition to other localities across the country.
The opening of the new flight pathways will see the airline officially operate routes between Vinh and Phu Quoc, along with flights from Hai Phong to Da Lat and Phu Quoc at a frequency of four trips per week on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday.
Routes connecting Vinh with Can Tho and Nha Trang, along with flights from Hai Phong to Can Tho and Buon Ma Thuot will be operating from June 22 at a frequency of three flights per week on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday.
Over the course of two months, the airline has swiftly added 13 more air routes that connect different regions nationwide, increasing the total number of domestic routes to 52.
Most notably, May saw the airline’s launch of five new routes, including those between Ho Chi Minh City and Tuy Hoa, Hai Phong and Nha
Earlier, low-cost carrier Vietjet Air has announced that it will open eight more domestic routes in the upcoming time.
The opening of the new routes is part of the airline’s strategy to develop its domestic flight network, therefore helping to promote trade exchanges and tourism activities in the post-coronavirus period.
