COVID-19 recovery rate in Viet Nam increases to nearly 90%

VGP – The COVID-19 recovery rate in Viet Nam jumped to nearly 90% on Monday after eight more patients have been cleared of the virus, said the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control.

Patient 316 has been cleared of COVID-19 after 16-day treatment at the Sa Dec General Hospital in the Mekong Delta province of Dong Thap

The latest recovered cases are:

Patient 316 is a 19-year-old male student, admitted to the Sa Dec General Hospital in the Mekong Delta province of Dong Thap on May 16.

Patient 272 is a 58-year-old man who have been cured at the General Hospital in the Mekong Delta province of Bac Lieu since May 7.

Patient 273 is a 30-year-old woman, admitted to the Bac Lieu General Hospital on May 7.

Patient 274 is a 3-month-old baby, admitted to the Bac Lieu General Hospital on May 7.

Patient 275 is a 33-year old man, admitted to the Bac Lieu General Hospital on May 7.

Patient 276 is a 36-year-old man, admitted to the Bac Lieu General Hospital on May 7.

Patient 279 is a 20-year-old man, admitted to the Bac Lieu General Hospital on May 7.

Patient 280 is a 29-year-old woman, admitted to the Bac Lieu General Hospital on May 7.

Patient 281 is a 30-year-old woman, admitted to the Bac Lieu General Hospital on May 7.

Patient 283 is a 20-year old woman, admitted to the Bac Lieu General Hospital on May 7.

Patient 284 is a 30-year-old woman, admitted to the Bac Lieu General Hospital on May 7.

Patient 287 is a 24-year-old woman, admitted to the Bac Lieu General Hospital on May 7.

Patient 288 is a 32-year-old woman, admitted to the Bac Lieu General Hospital on May 7.

Patient 313 is a 28-year-old man, admitted to the Bac Lieu General Hospital on May 15.

As of 5pm on June 1, the patient tally remained unchanged at 328, including 188 imported cases, the committee said.

The country is medically monitoring 7,256 people who have been in close contact with COVID-19 patients or repatriated from the pandemic-stricken areas, including 23 at hospitals, 6,031 at centralized quarantine camps and 932 at places of residence./.
