Two more COVID-19 cases confirmed, total rises to 320

VGP – Two Vietnamese people returning from Russia were confirmed having COVID-19, bringing the patient tally to 320, the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control reported minutes ago.

The pair were among 297 passengers who were quarantined immediately after their flight VN0062 landed at Van Don International Airport in the northern province of Quang Ninh on May 13.

Patient 319 is a 26-year-old man from Kien Thuy District of Hai Phong City. He is being treated at the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Ha Noi’s Dong Anh District.

Patient 320 is a 29-year-old man from Hai Hau District of the northern province of Nam Dinh. He is being treated at the General Hospital of Thai Binh Province.

The latest cases sent the total COVID-19 patients on the flight to 29, the national steering committee said.

As of 6:05 pm on Sunday, Viet Nam has gone 31 days without new community infection case of COVID-19. Of the country’s patient tally, 180 are imported cases./.
