Deputy PM, FM Minh holds phone talks with Cuban FM

VGP – Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh and Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla discussed on bilateral cooperation amid COVID-19 pandemic over their phone conversation on Friday morning.

Minh conveyed greetings of the high-ranking Vietnamese leaders to the Cuban counterparts, affirming that Viet Nam always stands side by side and support Cuba in the current context.

For his part, Bruno reiterated that Cuba attaches importance to the special traditional ties with Viet Nam and highly valued the Southeast Asian country’s efforts to contain the COVID-19 outbreaks and maintain growth.

The pair appreciated the nations’ solidarity and mutual support to cope with the pandemic over the past time and briefed each other about measures to restart growth and ensure social security in post-pandemic period.

They affirmed to continue close coordination and mutual support at multilateral forums as Viet Nam is the current ASEAN Chair and non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council./.
