No new community transmission case of COVID-19 in 18 consecutive days

VGP – Viet Nam recorded no new Covid-19 infection on May 4, marking the 18 consecutive days without community-transmitted infection,, the National Steering Committee on Covid-19 Prevention and Control reported.

During the reviewed period , the nation announced three more imported cases, including two overseas students from Japan and a British oil expert, sending the total of such cases to 131.

So far, the country has 271 COVID-19 patients, of whom 219 have been cleared of the virus and exited hospitals. The current 52 active cases include 14 relapsed patients.

As many as, 27,409 people are being quarantined, including 239 at hospitals; 5,871 people at centralized quarantine camps; and 21,300 at residence./.
