Leaders pay tribute to President Ho Chi Minh on National Reunification Day

VGP - Vietnamese leaders paid tribute to President Ho Chi Minh at his mausoleum in Ha Noi on on April 30 laid wreaths at the city’s martyrs cemetery on the occasion of the 45th anniversary of the Liberation of South Viet Nam and National Reunification Day (April 30).

The delegation included Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, former Party General Secretary Nong Duc Manh, former President Tran Duc Luong, former Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Van An, and Permanent member of the CPVCC Secretariat Tran Quoc Vuong, among other senior leaders.

President Ho devoted his whole life to the people and nation, leading the Party and people to make glorious victories. Following his will, the entire Party, army and people completed the cause of liberating the South and reunifying the nation on April 30, 1975 to build a socialist country.

The delegation also laid flowers at the Monument for Heroic Martyrs at Bac Son street.

They also expressed their thankfulness and appreciation for heroic martyrs who sacrificed their lives to fight for the cause of national liberation and freedom./.
