Ha Noi locks down Ha Loi commune for 28 days

Me Linh District’s authorities have urgently implemented the task of isolation and quarantine of the epidemic area in Ha Loi commune.

Accordingly, nine checkpoints have been set up around Ha Loi commune for 24-hour control for fear of the outbreak of COVID-19.

Residents in Ha Loi commune are not allowed to travel outside the area during 28 days.

The lockdown of Ha Loi commune is regarded as a prompt and necessary measures to prevent the transmissions of COVID-19 into community as a 47-year old man residing in the commune (patient numbered 243) has been tested positive for the virus.

As many as 108 suspected cases in the commune who had close contact with the previously-announced COVID-19 patients have been identified.

Recently, on morning of April 8, the Ministry of Health confirmed the 250^th COVID-19 patient, a native resident in Ha Loi commune, who was in close contact with patient numbered 243.

Ha Loi commune is the home to nearly 3,000 households with around 11,000 people.

As of April 8, Viet Nam has confirmed 251 COVID-19 infection cases, of whom 126 have been cleared of the virus and exited hospitals.
