VN has no new COVID-19 infections for first time in a month

VGP – As of 3:20 pm on April 5, the number of COVID-19 infection cases in Viet Nam remains unchanged from the previous day, according to the Ministry of Health.

 This is the first day in a month, the nation has no new infections.

The patient tally reached 240 on April 4, of whom 224 have been confirmed since March 6.

Of the total infection cases, 90 have recovered and exited from hospitals, while 150 are being treated at 21 medical facilities nationwide.

The current patients include four serious cases, of whom patient numbered 19, aged 64-year, has stopped using Extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) machine after more than two weeks being put on it. She has tested negative for the virus three times and her health has improved a lot.

Three other serious patients managed to cut their reliance on ventilators and have tested negative for the virus.

So far more than 69,000 people have been medically quarantined nationwide, including 44,667 people sent to centralized quarantine camps./.
