Total COVID-19 infection cases rise to 240

VGP – The Ministry of Health on Saturday confirmed 3 more COVID-19 infection cases, bringing the patient tally to 240.

Patient 238 is a 17-year old female adolescent from Thach Ha District of the central province of Ha Tinh.

She had been working in Thailand before returning to Viet Nam on March 18.

She is being treated at Cau Treo General Hospital in Huong Son District, Ha Tinh Province.

Patient 239 is a 71-year old man from Tam Duong District of the northern Vinh Phuc Province.

On March 11, she went to the Gastroenterology Department of Ha Noi’s Bach Mai Hospital for checkup and returned home the same day.

Seven days later, she came back to the hospital and stayed at home from March 19-28.

She was taken to Vinh Phuc General Hospital on March 28 when she got mild fever.

The patient is being treated at the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Ha Noi’s Dong Anh District.

Patient 240 is a 29-year old woman from Luc Nam District of the northern province of Bac Giang.

She had been working in Bangkok, Thailand and joined a family party of patient numbered 166 on March 19.

She flew to Viet Nam on March 20 on flight VN618 and was taken a centralized camp in Ninh Binh Province.

On March 31, she got fever and sent to Ninh Binh General Hospital where she was confirmed having the virus.

Of the total infection cases in confirmed in Viet Nam so far, 90 have recovered and exited hospitals, according to the ministry./.
