Seven more COVID-19 infection cases confirmed, total rises to 106

VGP – The Ministry of Health has confirmed 7 more COVID-19 infection cases in Viet Nam, raising the total to 106.

17 out of the total 113 COVID-19 patients in Viet Nam have fully recovered

Patient 100 is a 55-year old man from Ho Chi Minh City with diabetes and arthritis record.

He was passenger on AsiaAir flight AK254 from Kuala Lumpur to Viet Nam on March 3.

He was advised to isolate himself at home but he travelled to Jamiul Anwar Grand Mosque in Duong Ba Trac Street, District 1 several times between March 4-17.

Though he did not show the disease symptoms, District 8 Medical Center had his samples tested on March 18 and he was officially confirmed having the virus on March 22.

He is being quarantined at the Ho Chi Minh Hospital for Tropical Diseases.

Patients 101, 102, 103, 104

They were all passengers on Viet Nam Airline flight VN0050 that landed in the Mekong Delta City of Can Tho on March 18.

All of them did not show the disease symptoms upon their arrival.

Patient 101 is a 26-year old woman from Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province.

Patient 102 is a 9-year old girl from Ha Noi’s Hoan Kiem District.

Patient 103 is a 22-year old man from Ho Chi Minh City’s Phu Nhuan District.

Patient 104 is a 33-year old woman from Ho Chi Minh City’s District 12.

Patients 105, 106

Both of them had been quarantined at a centralized facility in the Mekong Delta province of Tra Vinh after returning from Malaysia on March 18.

Patient 105 is a 35-year old woman from Cho Moi District in the Mekong Delta province of An Giang.

Patient 106 is a 22-year old woman from Chau Phu District in the Mekong Delta province of An Giang.
