Viet Nam has confirmed virus infection cases increased to 5, including two Chinese nationals and three Vietnamese citizens who have returned home from the Chinese city of Wuhan.

One Vietnamese patient is being kept isolated and treated at the General Hospital of Thanh Hoa province while the other two patients are quarantined at the National Hospital of Tropical Diseases in Kim Chung commune, Dong Anh district, Ha Noi.

Meanwhile, one of the Chinese patients has recovered.

Earlier on Thursday, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc decided to establish a steering committee on prevention of acute respiratory disease caused by the novel coronavirus (nCoV), led by Deputy PM Vu Duc Dam.

The steering committee is responsible for assisting the Prime Minister in directing ministries, ministerial-level agencies, and localities to prevent and control the epidemic./.
