Key measures for better national competitiveness issued

Accordingly, the Government will continue to implement the master schemes towards 2021 under Resolution 02/NQ-CP, dated January 1, 2019 on measures and tasks to improve the  business climate and raise national competitiveness in 2019 with a vision towards 2021. 

In 2020, Viet Nam would strive for the World Bank’s ease of doing business index (EoDB) to jump ten notches; raise the ranking in the Global Competitiveness Index 4.0 (GCI 4.0) to move five steps forward; and boost global innovation index to increase 3-4 notches; and e-Government to 10-15 steps. 

The resolution set seven major tasks and measures to perfect the business environment and raise national competitiveness in 2020 in which (1) ministries, agencies and localities were asked to fully and effectively implement measures and solutions which are stipulated in Resolution 02/NQ-CP, dated January 1, 2019; (2) ministries were assigned to supervise set of indicators; (3) to raise points and rankings in business environment indexes; (4) practically perfect business conditions; (5) comprehensively reform management and connectivity of the national single window system and ASEAN single window; (6) promote non-cash payment and provision of fourth level public services; (7) develop innovative ecosystem and encourage innovative startup./.
