Vietjet Air opens Ho Chi Minh City – Pattaya route

VGP - The budget carrier Viejet Air has announced a new route linking Ho Chi Minh City with Thailand’s Pattaya city via U-Tapao airport with four return flights per week.

Vietjet Air opens Ho Chi Minh City – Pattaya route

The new route will operate daily service with a flight time of one hour and thirty minutes per leg.

The daily flight departs from Ho Chi Minh City at 13:25 and arrives in U-tapao at 14:40; the return flight from U-tapao takes off at 11:25 and arrives in Ho Chi Minh City at 12:55 (All in local times).

The Ho Chi Minh City - Pattaya air route came into operation from December 23, with flights departing on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.

Flight VZ970 made its debut on December 23 after departing from U-tapao International Airport.

In order to celebrate the new service, the budget airline is giving away more than 100,000 super-saving tickets from VND0 between Monday and Thursday.

Promotional tickets, which are available from noon to 2pm, are applied to all flights from Việt Nam’s Đà Lạt and Đà Nẵng, and Taichung in Taiwan to Bangkok; from HCM City to Pattaya, as well as all Thailand’s domestic routes from Bangkok to Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Phuket, Krabi, Udon Thani in addition to Phuket – Chiang Rai, and Udon Thani – Chiang Rai routes.

The promotion’s travel time is from December 23, 2019 to October 24, 2020.

With the latest launch of the HCM City-Pattaya route, Vietjet will operate the most routes and frequencies between Thailand and Viet Nam with eight direct routes in total.

Its representative said the new route will not only facilitate travelling between Ho Chi Minh City, the southern provinces and Rayong and Pattaya which are well-known beach destinations of Thailand, but also create favourable conditions for foreign passengers via Tan Son Nhat and U-Tapao airports.

Following the opening of the new route, Vietjet Air bolsters their position as one of the largest operators between two countries with a total of eight routes, including to Bangkok from Ha Noi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Hai Phong, and Da Lat, to Phuket and Chiang Mai from Ho Chi Minh City, in addition to the latest route between Ho Chi Minh City and Pattaya.

The latest air service to Pattaya is expected to greatly contribute to increasing the number of tourists that travel between Viet Nam’s southern provinces and the Rayong and Pattaya region

In addition to facilitating the international visitors' travel through both Tan Son Nhat International Airport and U-Tapao International Airport.
