Cambodia Angkor Air begins direct flights from Phnom Penh to Da Nang

VGP - Cambodian national carrier Angkor Air has launched the first flight on its new air route linking Cambodia’s capital city of Phnom Penh with the central city of Da Nang with five flights per week on Airbus A320, starting from October 27.

The launch of the new route will help promote tourism between central Viet Nam and Cambodia.

The flight on the new route will take off from Phnom Penh at 1pm and from Da Nang International Airport at 3.35pm on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

The inaugural flight landed at Da Nang International Airport at 2.50 pm on October 27 with 120 passengers aboard.

Angkor Air is also offering a special deal for flights on the route, with tickets being priced at US$50 each from now until the end of the year.

It is the second direct flight from Cambodia to Da Nang after the first between Siem Reap and Da Nang with seven flights per week.

This route is the latest of 19 international direct air routes to the Vietnamese central city as the demand for travel continues to rise.

The airline now operates Siem Reap – Da Nang, Phnom Penh – Siem Reap, Phnom Penh – Ho Chi Minh City, Phnom Penh – Sihanoukville, Sihanoukville – Beijing and Sihanoukville – Siem Reap routes.
