VN demands respect for its sovereignty, sovereign rights and jurisdiction

VGP – Viet Nam demands relevant parties respect its sovereignty, sovereign rights and jurisdiction and avoid recurrence of violations in the country’s waters, said Foreign Ministry’s Spokesperson Le Thi Thu Hang.

Hang made the above statement in response to reporters’ queries on Viet Nam’s reaction after China’s survey vessel Haiyang Dizhi 8 and its escort vessels were said to have left Viet Nam exclusive economic zone and continental shelf.

All foreign activities undertaken in Viet Nam’s waters without prior permission from the Vietnamese Government are infringements of Viet Nam’s sovereignty and sovereign rights, Hang stressed./.
