Trade surplus hits nearly US$6 bln in nine months

VGP – Viet Nam enjoyed the trade surplus of US$5.88 billion over the recent nine months of 2019, according to the General Statistics Office.

The State sector announces the trade deficit of US$ 19.4 billion while the foreign-invested sector reports the trade surplus of US$ 25.28 billion in nine months.

As many as 26 export items joined the US$1 billion export club in nine months, making up 89.9% of the total export value, five ones of which shows the export value exceeding US$10 billion, accounting for 59.2%.

The U.S. maintains the largest exporter of Viet Nam, witnessing a year-on-year increase of 28.2%.
