Leaders extend condolences over death of former French President

VGP – Party General Secretary, State President Nguyen Phu Trong on Friday cabled a message of condolences to French President Emmanuel Macron over the death of former President Jacques Chirac.

The same day, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh also extended condolences to French Prime Minister Edouard Philippe and Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian, respectively.

The former French President passed away on September 26 at the age of 86.
