The forum gathers the participation of heads of states and governments, with its agenda focusing on discussing new measures to boost economic growth, create favorable conditions for businesses and enhance cooperation opportunities between the Far East and the Asia-Pacific region, as well as new measures to improve the quality of life, with nearly 50 discussions.

Addressing the plenary session, President Putin welcomed delegates to the forum, which, he said, reflected the deep interest of countries in the region in strengthening their economic and trade relations with Russia.

He emphasized that Russia always pays attention to the dynamic development of the Asia-Pacific region, and is always willing to join equal bilateral dialogue with countries as well as promote multilateral cooperation at the forums such as the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) and the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC).

Delegates’ active and extensive engagement in the forum’s sessions and seminars in a constructive and open spirit has contributed significantly to working out promising cooperation orientations and accelerating mutually beneficial cooperation and connectivity, the Russian leader said.

One the sidelines of the plenary session, Deputy PM Trinh Dinh Dung hosted a reception for Russia’s Presidential Commissioner for Entrepreneurs' Rights Boris Titov. The Russian official stated that over recent times Russia has taken many measures to protect businesses’ rights, including reducing administrative pressure, simplifying criminal proceedings related to enterprises and strengthening warnings before imposing administrative penalties on the violating firms. He voiced his wish to cooperate with Viet Nam to discuss experience in the field.

Deputy PM Dung said this is a new important cooperation direction, helping to facilitate close coordination between the two countries’ businesses and ensure their legitimate rights, aiming to enhance the efficiency of cooperation in bilateral projects.

On the same day, the deputy PM laid a wreath at a monument dedicated to President Ho Chi Minh and met with officials and employees at the Consulate General of Viet Nam and representatives of overseas Vietnamese in the Far East region and Vladivostock city.
