VN, Australia strengthen aviation ties

Founding Chairman of Sovico Holdings Nguyen Thanh Hung signed a minute of cooperation with David Fox, Executive Chairman of Linfox Airports, which is exploiting Avalon and Essendon Airports in Australia, under the witness of the two PMs and senior officials of the two countries’ governments.

Specifically, the two sides agreed to cooperate in the areas of transporting passenger and cargo via air routes, developing aviation infrastructure and accommodation areas in Australia, as well as facilitating the opening and connection of air routes between Viet Nam, Australia and regional countries in the near future.

The minute of cooperation also creates a premise for the two sides to move towards comprehensive cooperation, including the possibility of establishing joint ventures between Sovico Holdings and affiliates of Linfox Group in aviation, supply chain, airport infrastructure, development of entertainment, travel and hotel services, and provision of financial and banking services.

Linfox Group is Australia’s multidisciplinary investment group in the areas of aviation, real estate, transportation, supply, infrastructure development and banking.
