Party, State leader receives new Ambassadors to Viet Nam

VGP – Party General Secretary, State President Nguyen Phu Trong on August 7 hosted receptions for newly-appointed Ambassadors from Thailand, Saudi Arabia, Colombia, Kazakhstan, Australia, Armenia, Morocco, India, Germany and Malaysia as they came to present letters of credentials to the Party leader.

At the meeting, Trong highlighted the important friendship and cooperative role of the Ambassadors between Viet Nam and these nations, asserting that the Vietnamese State always creates favorable conditions for these Ambassadors to successfully realize their tasks.  

He expressed delight at the fruitful developments in the relations between Viet Nam and these countries, expecting that the relationship will be strengthened in the time ahead.  

Viet Nam consistently implements the foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, peace, cooperation and development; openness, diversification, multilateralization of international relations and willing to be a reliable partner of all the nations in the world, he asserted. 

Currently, the nation has joined all most all multi-lateral forums in the region and the world and will take over the ASEAN Chairmanship in 2020 and the non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council in 2020-2021 tenure, he added. 

The occasion, Trong expressed thanks for the cooperation and support of the Ambassadors for Viet Nam to successfully fulfill its tasks. 

He respectively extended his greetings to leaders of these nations, expecting that the friendship and cooperative ties between Viet Nam and these countries will be further enhanced for the prosperity of each nation and for peace, friendship, cooperation and development in the region and the world.
