Nearly VND200,000 billion poured into Kien Giang

VGP – The southern province of Kien Giang has granted investment certificates for 18 investors launching 20 projects worth VND43,385 billion and inked investment cooperation agreements with 25 investors for realizing 36 projects valued at VND150,000 billion.

Large-scale projects will be launched in the province including a project invested by Siam City Cement Viet Nam Co Ltd providing cement and clinker with the total investment of VND10,800 billion and Phu Quoc Sun Co Ltd with two projects on building An Thoi eco urban area and a water treatment plant which are totaled at VND5,100 billion. 

The province commits to improving the business and investment environments, dealing with obstacles on administrative procedures, completing the legal framework and planning, building preferential mechanisms and policies and supporting investment based on common policy framework and characteristics of the locality. 

Secretary of Kien Giang Province’s Party Committee Nguyen Thanh Nghi said that the province will create favorable conditions for investors launching operation in the province, ensuring infrastructure and supplying human resources, necessary services and enhancing dialogues between authorities and businesses and investors to address difficulties and obstacles to help bring highest effectiveness for the projects. 

* Vietjet Air has announced that it will open four new domestic and international air routes to Phu Quoc to help call for more investments to Kien Giang Province.

Two domestic routes are Phu Quoc-Da Nang and Phu Quoc-Van Don. Seven round-trip flights will be organized on a weekly basis from late 2019 to mid-2020. Two new international routes are Phu Quoc-Chengdu, China and Phu Quoc-Chongqing, China. There will be three round-trip flights held every week since late 2019.

The flights for two current international routes including Phu Quoc-Hong Kong and Phu Quoc-Incheon will be increased from six to 14 flights per week starting from winter in order to meet demands.
