Top legislator receives Chinese CEOs

VGP – National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan met with some Chinese businesses in Beijing on July 10 on the sidelines of her official tour to China on July 10 (local time) in Beijing.

Accordingly, the top legislator met with Executive Chairman of the Board of China Energy Engineering Corp Ltd Wang Jianping,Chairman of Alpha King Real Estate Development JSC Wang Weixian, Vice Chairman and General Director of Ping An Insurance Company Song Chengli, and President of China Jiangxi Corporation for International Economic and Technical Cooperation Xu Guojian.  

The Chairwoman expressed the pleasure to meet with leaders of Chinese big groups, revealing her visit targets to materialize the signed agreements between the two countries and legislatures.  

According to Ms. Ngan, last year, Viet Nam attained 7.08% GDP growth rate. The figure touched 6.76% in the first half of 2019. The macro-economy was stable and inflation rate was put under control. The top legislator attributed the operation of FDI enterprises and domestic ones for the high growth rates. 

So far, China is Viet Nam’s largest trade partner and Viet Nam is China’s largest trade partner in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).

In the first five months, China was the largest investor to Viet Nam. 

Viet Nam is attracting investments in some major areas, especially projects that target environmental protection, sustainable development and cutting-edge technological transfer, Ms. Ngan said.

The Chinese executives informed the Vietnamese top legislator about their firms’ production, business and potential in insurance, finance, infrastructure construction and energy. 

They said Viet Nam is among countries experiencing the most rapid economic growth worldwide, and boasts substantial potential and strength for further development, expressing their aspiration to run long-term business in the country./.
