More than 3,000 cyberattacks recorded in first half

VGP – There were 3,159 cyberattacks on Vietnamese information systems in the first half of 2019, down 45.90% against the same period last year, reported the Ministry of Information and Communications.

The total figure included 968 deface, 635 malware, and 1,556 phishing attacks, said the Ministry.

Meanwhile, the number of botnet IP addresses in Viet Nam dipped by 34.40% to 4,300,218 between January-June.

Viet Nam ranked 50^th globally in the International Telecommunication Union’s Global Cybersecurity Index (GCI) released on March 27, 2018.
