European shipping company to tap VN’s tourism potentiality

VGP - Amwaterways, an Europe-based water-way shipping line based, said it will run its ship La Marguerite on tour routes between Việt Nam and Cambodia as well as inside Việt Nam.

The first journey is scheduled to depart from Hồ Chí Minh City in September.

La Marguerite, 235 feet in length, 41 feet in width, having a spa, a gym, a bar, a restaurant and a library, is capable of serving 92 passengers.

Now tour schedules on the new and luxurious ship are available for the whole year of 2009.

Among tour packages offered by La Marguerite, Hồ Chí Minh City and Cambodia’s Siem Reap are two highlighted destinations. Customers will travel by both river-way and air. 

Taking a 15-day tour, passengers will discover the beauty of Hà Nội, contemplate the magnificient and stunning world wonder Ha Long Bay before flying to Cambodia to explore its Angkor-era heritages in Siem Reap.

On the seventh day of the itinerary, they will embark on La Marguerite to tour Tonle Sap, Kampong Cham, Phnom Penh, Tân Châu, Sa Đéc, Cái Bè and Hồ Chí Minh City. Eventually, they will return home by air.

The ship also serves 8-day tours to landscapes in Central Việt Nam, including Huế, Đà Nẵng and Hội An, and 4-day optional tours to Hong Kong.
