Top leader congratulates Kazakhstan’s counterpart

VGP – Party General Secretary and State President Nguyen Phu Trong has extended congratulations to Kassym Tokayev upon his election as new President of Kazakhstan.

The voter turnout in Sunday's presidential election in Kazakhstan amounted to 77.4%, the country’s central election commission was quoted by Russian news agency Sputnik as saying.

Incumbent President Kassym Tokayev has won the presidential election by a landslide of some 70% of the votes./.
