Int’l importers seek Vietnamese suppliers

VGP - Five major importers from the US, Sweden, France, Germany and Hong Kong will come to Việt Nam to find domestic goods suppliers, said Global Sources, a Hong Kong-based communications company.

Global Sources is arranging a meeting on July 15-16 in Hồ Chí Minh City for Vietnamese enterprises and the five importers, namely ICA Group (Sweden), Sears (US), Arena (France), 360 Sourcing (Hong Kong) and MGB Metro (Germany).

The importers are interested in different kinds of local products, including furniture, indoor and outdoor decorative pottery, footwear, hand bags and suitcases.

Amid the international economic downturn, the meeting is a good chance for Vietnamese firms to put their products into the global trading system, including supermarkets, shopping malls and trade centers.
