Under the motto: “Nha Trang – Color of the sea,” the festival is jointly hosted by the Department of Culture and the Department of Culture and Sports, targeting to introduce traditionally cultural beauty.

The festival will attract 15 provinces and cities which house UNESCO-recognized intangible cultural heritage of humanity.

The intangible cultural heritages include Hue royal court music, Central Highlands Gong, Bac Ninh’s quan ho (love duet) singing, don ca tai tu (southern folk music and songs), and Bai Choi singing – a folklore style of singing in central Viet Nam.

From June 14-18, an exhibition on Viet Nam’s cultural heritage and sea-island tourism will take place, targeting to introduce, advertize, and honor tangible and intangible tourism products.

In 2019, Khanh Hoa hosts the National tourism year, hoping to advertize tangible and intangible cultural values, natural resources, and unique tourism products. The festival is expected to support the southern province to perfect tourism programs and exploit new tourism destinations.

According to the provincial Department of Tourism, Khanh Hoa welcomed approximately 2.73 million visitors in the first five months of 2019, up 12% from the same period last year. The province earned VND 9.5 trillion, up 22.4%. In addition, Khanh Hoa welcomed over 52,000 cruise ship visitors./.
