The Government chief emphasized the point on May 31 while presiding over the Cabinet meeting.

PM Phuc tasked the Government members to listen to NA deputies’ comments to meet people’s expectations.

He commented the successful organizations of the 16th United Nations Day of Vesak Celebrations 2019 with the participation of over 3,000 delegates from 106 countries and territories and the National Assembly’s seventh working session.

However, the Government leader noticed the slow introduction of some legal documents.

Regarding the socio-economic performance in the coming time, PM Phuc tasked his inferiors to attach importance to regional and international markets which were forecast to be on decline. In Q1, 2019, the global trade grew only 0.75%. The World Trade Outlook Indicator fell to 96.3 points, the lowest level since 2010.

The U.S.-China unpredictable trade dispute could lower the global trade by 1% and the global GDP by 0.4%.

There are risks of exchange rates, interest rates, financial and monetary market instability, and sharp fluctuations of crude oil and some commodities. Hence, the Government chief tasked his inferiors to stay alert in management and raise their sense of responsibility in response to the changing world.

Regarding the issues of sustainable growth in Viet Nam and harmony of economic growth and culture, PM Phuc stressed the importance of culture which has yet received due attention.

The Government leader also asked relevant ministries, agencies, and localities to deal with the African swine fever disease, slow export, and university entrance exam, development of e-Government, and environmental protection./.
