Japan finances Đắk Nông to improve living and education standards

VGP – The Japanese Government yesterday granted an aid of US $165,000 to Việt Nam’s Central Highlands province of Đắk Nông to improve water supplies and education quality.

Through using to clean water, people’s health and sanitary can be significantly improved

This is a part of the small-scale non-refundable aid program provided by Japan to Việt Nam.

Of the above sum, over US $88,000 will be poured into the construction of two waterworks in Quảng Tâm Commune of Đắk R’lấp District.

With these two waterworks, more than 770 local residents will have chance to access to clean water.

The remaining US $77,600 will serve the building of a 6-room junior secondary school in Đắk Som Commune, Đắk Glong District, for 280 local students.

According to the Japanese Consulate General in Hồ Chí Minh City, since the launching of the non-refundable aid program in 1995, the Consulate has financed over US $6 million for more than 90 projects in South Việt Nam.

These projects are mainly conducted in education, healthcare, environment and rural infrastructure.
