NA receives over 3,500 voters' comments

VGP - President of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front (VFF) Central Committee Tran Thanh Man presented a report on voters’ comments to the seventh session of the 14th National Assembly.

President Man said that the VFF worked with the National Assembly Standing Committee to collect 3,518 comments. 

Generally, voters expressed their delight at the socio-economic development outcomes in 2018 and early 2019. The macro-economy was stable; inflation was put under control; the investment and business environment was improved; the number of newly-established enterprises reached a record height over the past five years; the poverty and unemployment rates decreased gradually. 

People highly valued the leadership and direction of the Party and State in Party building and regulation; political system consolidation; and corruption prevention and fighting. The National Assembly was hailed for supervising the performance of ministries, agencies, and localities in response to voters’ comments. The Government was praised for implementing Resolutions of the Party and National Assembly and settling pressing issues.  

However, voters and people expressed their concerns over some problems including food hygiene, environmental pollution, drug transport and trafficking, transport accidents, serious explosion, power cost adjustments, accusations and complaints./.
