Nearly US$ 4 bil. foreign investment for HCMC education

VGP - According to the Hồ Chí Minh City's Department of Planning and Investment, the City has attracted 61 foreign-invested projects on education and training, with the total capital of US$ 3.582 billion since the Foreign Investment Law was launched.

International University City Berjaya Việt Nam is the biggest project on education in HCMC

There are 49 wholly foreign invested projects with the total capital of US$ 3.566 billion.

The biggest is the US$ 3.5-billion project to establish the international university city Berjaya Việt Nam.

Other large-scale projects include International University RMIT Việt Nam (US$ 44.1 million), International School ACG Việt Nam (US $6.75 million), Maritime Human Resource and Training Center (US$ 3.75 million) and the International English Language School (US $4.5 million).

Recently, the Hồ Chí Minh City People's Committee proposed the Ministry of Education and Training to review regulations on investment in education and training mentioned in the Investment Law and the Specialty Law with the aim of avoiding overlaps and streamlining administrative procedures for investors.
