First National Forum seeks ways to foster advancement of tech companies

The forum on Viet Nam technology business development was officially launched at the National Conference Center in Ha Noi on May 8. 

The event was hosted by the Ministry of Information and Communications, targeting to build the Vietnamese technology business community and concerting them into a driving force for economic breakthroughs; helping Viet Nam escape from the medium-income gap and become a developed country. 

Technology businesses cover start-ups, consulting companies, technological transferring companies, traditional companies which have adequate resources and are keen to move to technology. 

At the forum, about 1,000 delegates including leaders of the Government, ministries, agencies, and localities, especially hundreds of domestic and foreign experts and businessmen will discuss four topics including

(1) Technology enterprises resolve Vietnamese problems: Speakers will share viewpoints on the reality of technological applications and developments in Viet Nam in order to solve Viet Nam’s problems; successes of high-tech enterprises; and effective administration modals;

(2)  Technology enterprises help Viet Nam escape from middle-income trap: To achieve high average income by 2045, Viet Nam should study and learn experiences of other countries like the Republic of Korea, Taiwan, and Singapore which have become Asian dragons over the last decades. Experts from the RoK, ADB, and Fullbright University will share international experiences on technology business development and socio-economic development in technology business development. 

(3) Policies and solutions to Vietnamese technology business development: Vietnamese technology enterprises will present and share the reality and propose policies in favor of Vietnamese technology business development and technology business ecosystem. 

(4) Solutions to technology business connectivity: Speakers and delegates will discuss on solutions to associate technology enterprises and organizations and enterprises in different areas including agriculture, healthcare, and public service. Organizations and enterprises will enjoy opportunities to contact and set up relations with other technology enterprises to raise business and production performance and contribute to a powerful Viet Nam. 

The distribution site comprises a technology wall of “Make in Viet Nam’ which follows five zones including Industry 4.0; economics, finance, e-commerce; transport, construction and natural resources, environment; healthcare, tourism; agriculture and number conversion./.
