PM joins groundbreaking ceremony of high-tech farming project

The event marked the 990th founding anniversary of Thanh Hoa province. 

The project has a total cost of VND 3.8 trillion (US$ 162.6 million USD), covering 1,354 ha of land in Yen My and Cong Binh communes. It has a herd of 20,000 cows and a processing plant designed at a capacity of 300 tons of milk per day. 

At the ceremony, TH introduced its sustainable development modal with farmers in the modal of high-tech collectives. 

TH will also develop material areas in Cam Thuy, Tho Xuan and Thach Thanh districts, and work with local farmers to ensure a stable food supply for dairy cows.

Besides creating high value-added agricultural products, the project is expected to generate stable jobs and income for thousands of local laborers, enhance state budget collection, and speed up economic structure shifting.

Advanced technology will be applied for sewage and emission systems, while trees will be planted to reduce the environmental impact. 

Addressing the event, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Nguyen Xuan Cuong highlighted the project’s significance especially for agricultural restructuring./.
