Czech Chamber of Deputies advocates early signing of EVFTA

VGP – PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc hosted a reception for Speaker of the Czech Chamber of Deputies Radek Vondracek on April 17 as part of his official visit to the Czech Republic.

PM Phuc affirmed that Viet Nam always attaches importance to the relations with the Czech Republic and appreciated contributions by the country’s Chamber of Deputies to the development of the bilateral ties. 

He proposed the two sides exchange law making experiences and boost cooperation between the Viet Nam-Czech Republic, and Czech Republic-Viet Nam Friendship Parliamentarians’ Groups, and spur cooperation in education-training, science-technology, environment, agriculture, labor and between their localities.

The Vietnamese Government leader suggested the lower house to continue creating favorable conditions for the Vietnamese community in the country. 

He also forwarded NA Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan’s invitation to visit Viet Nam on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of bilateral diplomatic ties in 2020 to Radek Vondracek.

In return, the Speaker praised the official visit of PM Phuc as demonstrating an important development step in bilateral relations. 

Mr. Radek Vondracek affirmed the Chamber of Deputies attaches importance to Czech Republic-Viet Nam traditional friendship, and totally supports the early signing and ratification of the EVFTA and the EVIPA.

The Speaker was convinced that the early opening of a direct air route connecting Prague and Ha Noi will contribute to fostering bilateral cooperation in trade, investment and tourism. 

He also affirmed to continue facilitating the lives of over 65,000 Vietnamese people in his country./.
