VN’s first smart communication city under construction in Hue

VGP – The construction of Viet Nam’s first smart city, worth more than US$22 million, will be built on the area of 39.6 ha in the An Van Duong urban area in Hue City, Thua Thien Hue Province.

The information was released by Chairman of the province’s People’s Committee Phan Ngoc Tho. Accordingly, the project is regarded as part of the province’s plan on development of Thua Thien Hue Province’s smart urban service by 2020, with visions to 2025. 

The plan aims to form the first smart communication city in Viet Nam, focusing on the development of information technology, virtual technology, and movie industry. 

The project also connects with historical resources reserved in Hue, high-quality human resources and tourism industry at locality. 

The plan heads to attract new industries in line with tourism, investment of enterprises, especially strategic ones, accelerate local economy, create more jobs for local workers and enhance the development of sustainable urban area through the application of smart digital technology.
