In the congratulatory letter, PM Phuc invited David Malpass to visit Viet Nam and witness the developments of Viet Nam’s economy over the recent years.
The Minister-Chairman of the Government Office expressed his hope that under the leadership of David Malpass, the WB will continue being a trusted partner of Viet Nam throughout the latter’s development process.
Dung said he expects to welcome President David Malpass to visit the Southeast Asian country.

Dung briefed about recent developments in Viet Nam, including the inauguration of the national e-document exchange platform on March 12 under the witness of WB Country Director to Viet Nam Ousmane Dione.
Dung stressed that Viet Nam still needs more support from the WB in the e-government infrastructure development and capacity building.
Meanwhile, Kwakwa congratulated Viet Nam on its fast economic growth and rising diplomatic status in the region and the world, which have helped gain greater trust from the business community on the nation’s potential.
* The same day, Dung also had a working session with newly-appointed Vice President Akihiko Nishio, during which the two sides discussed on financial cooperation between Viet Nam and the WB.
Dung called on Akihiko Nishio to direct the WB’s departments to enhance high-level policy exchanges and dialogues on public debt management, budget management and major orientations for using foreign loans.
