The DOC has preliminarily concluded that the frozen warm water shrimp products of the two mandatory defendants, Sao Ta Foods JSC (Fimex VN) and Nha Trang Seaproduct Company, did not dump the U.S. market in the period from February 1, 2017, to January 31, 2018.

Therefore, preliminary tariffs on those two companies and other 29 local shrimp exporters will stand at 0%.

Twenty-nine other Vietnamese companies that applied for different tax rates or pledged no shipments to the US within the aforementioned period will also enjoy a 0% tax rate.

This preliminary tax rate is a solid foundation for Vietnamese firms to achieve the lowest possible tax rate in the final DOC decision.

This is good news for Vietnamese enterprises and will help their business to further thrive in the U.S. market.
