Gov’t speeds up site clearance for North-South Expressway

VGP - PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc has order relevant agencies and localities to focus on site clearance for several stretches of the Eastern North-South Expressway, planned to be built between 2017 and 2020.

In the first phase, Viet Nam planned to build several stretches with a total length of 654km with total investment capital of VND 118.7 trillion (US$5.1 billion).

Of the stretches, there are three public investment sub-projects and eight public-private partnership (PPP) sub-projects.

The first sections will run through 13 provinces, including Nam Dinh, Ninh Binh, Thanh Hoa, Nghe AN, Ha Tinh, Quang Tri, Thua Thien-Hue, Ninh Thuan, Binh Thuan, Dong Nai, Tien Giang and Vinh Long.

Meanwhile, the North-South Expressway spans 32 provinces and cities. /.
