Slight CPI increase continues in big cities

VGP - Consumer price index (CPI) of Hồ Chí Minh City is estimated to grow by 0.22% in August, slower than last month (0.68%). In Hà Nội, the indicator stands at 0.47%.

CPI in Hà Nội and Hồ Chí Minh City

In Hồ Chí Minh City, most of goods and services increased slightly in price this month, while a decrease of 0.12% has been seen in catering services, and 0.32% in beverage and cigarettes.

The price of medicines, education, healthcare, post and telecommunication services has remained flat.

The city’s CPI in the first eight months is estimated to surge by 8.74%. The highest growth rate of 13.61% belongs to catering services.

In Hà Nội, the prices of goods and services have slightly increased by 0.09-1.86% against July.

 Only food, and beverage-cigarettes dropped by 0.74% and 0.21% respectively.
