The MoIT reported that in the January-February period, eight commodities joined the US$ 1 billion export club. Most of them belonged to the processing industry.
Telephones and spare parts led the group with US$ 6.79 billion; followed by garments and textiles with US$ 4.89 billion; computers and spare parts with US$ 4.16 billion.
Overseas shipment of footwear ranked fourth with US$ 2.67 billion. Machines and spare parts brought home US$ 2.63 billion of export revenue.
Transport vehicles and spare part export earned US$ 1.4 billion of export revenue. Furniture export recorded US$ 1.38 billion of export turnover.
In the first two months, agricultural export revenue was estimated at US$ 3.41 billion, representing a year-on-year decrease of 11.8%. Noticeably, seafood export earned US$ 1.09 billion of export revenue./.
