This is the first time Hà Nội held an event of this kind, attracting nearly 100 enterprises who showcased over 400 products of nine handicraft industries, namely ceramics, bamboo knitting, lacquerware, mother-of-pearl inlaying, embroidery, stone carving, metalwork, woodwork and paper arts. The event also draws attention of many partners from Canada, the US, Japan and the Republic of Korea.

There will be the seminar “Vietnamese handicraft products – Values and potentials’’ where the municipal authority’s investment policies and incentives are presented.

An important activity of the Week is to facilitate direct contacts among enterprises and open field trips to craft villages. According to the Organizing Board, such tours will help enterprises to find out partners.

The Hà Nội Handicraft and Fine Arts Products Week will be held annually since 2009, revealed the Municipal Department of Industry and Trade.
