HN promptly prepares for DPRK-USA Summit

VGP – Chairman of the Ha Noi municipal People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Chung chaired an urgent meeting on February 24 with relevant departments and agencies to review the preparations for the upcoming second DPRK-USA Summit.

The Chairman tasked relevant agencies and departments to promptly implement plans and review assignments with a view to fruitfully preparing for the upcoming event.

The local police force was asked to protect transport, accommodations, fire prevention to ensure safety and order in the capital.

The Chairman stressed the importance of ensuring absolute safety for the summit.

Mr. Chung said that each resident of the city should become an ambassador to promote the images of a friendly and hospitable Ha Noi – the City for Peace.

The summit is a chance for Ha Noi to send out a message that Viet Nam is developing and integrating and is an ideal destination for international visitors, he said.

Mr. Chung asked relevant agencies to review their part in preparations to ensure the best conditions for the summit.
