Security, safety for 2nd DPRK-US Summit is top priority, says Deputy PM Minh

VGP – Deputy PM, FM Pham Binh Minh stressed that ensuring absolute security and safety for the second DPRK-US Summit is the top priority while he was chairing a meeting to review preparatory work on Friday.

He urged relevant ministries, agencies and Ha Noi authorities to thoroughly review and quicken preparations within the next few days to create best conditions for the DPRK and the US sides as well as for foreign reporters.

Minh stressed the second DPRK-US Summit is top politic-diplomatic event in Viet Nam this year.

Earlier on February 21, Deputy Foreign Minister Le Hoai Trung told reporters that Viet Nam’s preparations for the second DPRK-US Summit are well underway and highly valued by both the DPRK and the US.

Trung said Vietnamese senior leaders attach great importance to the event and Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has followed up the preparatory work closely and relevant ministries, agencies and Ha Noi have also coordinated closely.
