More than VND5,200 billion poured in wind power development in Quang Tri

VGP – The central province of Quang Tri’s People’s Committee has approved the investment of wind power projects, worth around VND5,240 billion.

Specifically, Huong Phung 3 wind power project with the designed capacity of 30 MW and capital investment of more than VND1,580 billion will be built from 2019-2021.

wind power projects GELEX 1, 2, and 3 will be invested with VND3,660 billion on the total area of 24 ha. Each plant has a designed capacity of 30 MW and will be constructed from 2019-2021.

At present, a wind power plant is being operated in Quang Tri Province and four others are under construction.

In the future, four wind power projects will be put into operation in the province with the designed capacity of 30 MW per one and the total wind power output may reach 800 MW.

The province has planned three wind power development areas expanding 6,700 ha.

Attracting investment in wind power is one of priorities of the province to become a center of energy in the central region.
