Master scheme for Moc Chau National Tourism Site passed

VGP – Moc Chau National Tourism Site will be developed to become one of the driving forces for tourism development in the Northern mountainous region, socio-economic development, higher people’s living standards, and national security.

Deputy PM Trinh Dinh Dung signed a decision to ratify a master scheme for Moc Chau national tourism site in Son La province by 2030. The tourism site locates at Moc Chau and Van Ho district, Son La province with a total area of 206,150 hectares.

It comprises Moc Chau resort center, Moc Chau ecotourism center, and Moc Chau entertainment center with a total area of 1,500 hectares.

By 2020, the site will have a population of about 205,000 people. By 2030, the population will reach 274,500 people.

The site will receive over 1.65 million guests in 2020 and 5 million in 2030. It will have 6,200 guesthouse accommodations by 2020 and 20,000 by 2030./.
