Bamboo Airways launches HCM City-Thanh Hoa air route

VGP - Bamboo Airways opened an air route between Ho Chi Minh City and the central province of Thanh Hoa on January 29, with the frequency of one flight per day.

Earlier in November 2018, the Government Office has released a document announcing the conclusions of PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc on granting aviation business license to Bamboo Airways, owned by property developer FLC Group.

Viet Bamboo Airlines Co., based in Phu Cat Airport, Phu Cat District in the central province of Binh Dinh, will be permitted to transport passengers, mail and freight both domestically and internationally.

Along with the new route, Bamboo Airways is operating others linking Ha Noi with Quy Nhon, Nha Trang city of central Khanh Hoa province, Dong Hoi city of central Quang Binh province, Ho Chi Minh City, Buon Me Thuot city of the Central Highlands province of Dak Lak, and Phu Quoc island in the southern province of Kien Giang, and between Ho Chi Minh City and Quy Nhon and Van Don district in northern Quang Ninh province, thus serving passengers during the lunar New Year festival.

Bamboo Airways will cover international air routes connecting Japan, the Republic of Korea, China, Singapore, Thailand, Hong Kong (China), Taiwan (China) and the Philippines. It also aims to open flights to the U.S. and Europe in the long term.

By 2023, it will have 10 aircraft including Airbus A320 and Airbus A321 or Boeing 737 with the total investment capital of VND700 billion.

It will operate in 50 years since July 9, 2018.
