At the meeting, Mr. Binh spoke highly of Viet Nam-RoK strategic cooperative partnership, especially when the RoK is the largest investor of Viet Nam with the total investment exceeding US$64 billion.

As many as 50,000 Vietnamese women have got married to RoK citizens and more than 160,000 Vietnamese laborers are studying and working in the RoK, he said.

Viet Nam has enhanced anti-corruption and the two nations are members of the   United Nations Convention against Corruption (UNCAC), he added, suggesting the two sides highlight the spirits of struggling against crimes and enhancing international cooperation in this field.

Viet Nam is willing to cooperate with the RoK within the framework of the Convention, he asserted.

He highly appraised the 2019-2022 cooperative agreement between the RoK’s Supreme Prosecutors' Office and the Supreme People's Procuracy of Viet Nam, expecting that the RoK will assist Viet Nam in studying legal institutions, exchanging prosecutor training, applying advanced technology in management and control of high-tech crimes, trans-national crimes, organized crimes, human and drug traffickers and corruption.

Mr. Moon Moo-il expressed his hope that the Deputy PM will continue support for the relations between the RoK’s Supreme Prosecutors' Office and the Supreme People's Procuracy of VietNam, adding that the RoK is ready to share experiences with Viet Nam in struggling corruption.

He suggested the Vietnamese Government advocate the RoK in establishing an peaceful mechanism for the Korean Peninsula.

For his side, Deputy PM Binh asserted that Viet Nam always backs and take a responsible part in establishing the Korean Peninsula of peace, cooperation and development.
