Party chief greets Thai DPM

Thai Deputy PM, and Minister of Defense Prawit Wongsuwan reported that Viet Nam is the first country Thailand has sent a high-ranking delegation to visit after assuming the ASEAN Chairmanship in 2019. 

He also informed the host leader about the talks with Vietnamese Minister of Defense Ngo Xuan Lich, affirming that he wants to step up cooperative ties with the Vietnamese army. 

Thailand will closely work with Vietnam in promoting regional peace, stability, and cooperation, as well as effectively implementing the signed agreements. The guest leader also voiced his strong support for the promotion of the strategic partnership between the two countries, he said.

In reply, the Party General Secretary said that Viet Nam’s consistent policy is to treasure and promote its traditional friendship and all-round cooperation with Thailand./.
