VN congratulates Cuba on 60th anniversary of Revolution

The Deputy PM made the point on January 9 in Ha Noi at the 60th anniversary of the triumph of the Cuban Revolution held by the Cuban Embassy.

The event was hosted by the Cuban Embassy in Viet Nam and attended by  Cuban Ambassador to Viet Nam Lianys Torres Riviera.

On behalf of the Party, State, and people of Viet Nam, the Deputy PM conveyed the warmest congratulations. 

Mr. Dung asserted that the Vietnamese Party, State and people’s determination to continue consolidating and developing the Viet Nam-Cuba traditional friendship and comprehensive cooperation.

He took the occasion to thank the Cuban people for their wholehearted support for Viet Nam.

According to Deputy PM Dung, 2018 was a special year in the bilateral ties with the official visit of Vietnamese Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong to Cuba (in March) and the overseas tour of President of the Council of State and Council of Ministers of Cuba Miguel MarioDiaz-Canel Bermudez to Viet Nam (in November). 

The Deputy PM affirmed the Vietnamese Party, State and people’s determination to continue consolidating and developing the Viet Nam-Cuba traditional friendship and comprehensive cooperation.

Cuban Ambassador to Viet Nam Lianys Torres Rivera highlighted the special brotherhood and solidarity between Cuba and Viet Nam.

The success of the Cuban Revolution on January 1, 1959 put an end to the Batista dictatorial regime and the 500 years of the colonial rule in Cuba. It was one of the most influential political events in Latin America in the 20th century./.
