Israel attaches importance to relations with VN

VGP - Israel attaches importance to developing its relations with Viet Nam, Israeli President Reuven Rivlin made that statement while receiving outgoing Vietnamese Ambassador Cao Tran Quoc Hai on January 3.

At the meeting, the Israeli President expressed his delight at fruitful development in the bilateral friendship and cooperation as well as highly appraised contributions made by the Ambassador to the relations.

He expected that bilateral cooperation will be consolidated and expanded, for the interests of the two peoples.

Ambassador Hai thanked the President and ministries and sectors of Israel for helping him fulfill his tasks during his working tenure.

Highlighting outstanding achievements in bilateral ties, especially in economics, trade, investment, science, technology, education and tourism, he also stressed the two nations’ potential to further develop their ties in different fields.

He took the occasion to thank Israel for supporting Viet Nam’s membership of the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL) for the 2019-2025 tenure.

He suggested both sides soon conclude negotiations towards the signing of a free trade agreement, and open a direct air route between the two countries, boosting economic and tourism cooperation.
